Ketch & Keep Charters

🌿 Senegalia riparia, locally known as “catch and keep,” flourishes across the Virgin Islands— its thorny branches bursting with lush greenery and delicate yellow-white blossoms. Much like the resilient spirit of the Virgin Islands’ people, this plant stands proud — beautiful, enduring, and unforgettable. At Ketch & Keep Charters, we strive to embody this natural wonder, inviting you to be captured by the magic of the emerald islands.
Our charters aim to catch your attention and keep the V.I. in your heart.

Your Captain
Captain Nicholas Figueroa is a born and bred Virgin Islander whose passion for hospitality and water sports inspired him to launch Ketch & Keep Charters. His earliest memory of being out on the water was with his father on a Coast Guard boat. Since then, he has always found his way back. In high school he sailed with the V.I. Montessori School sailing team and competed nationally for four years.
Nicholas began his career in marine hospitality in 2020 as a jet ski tour guide out of Water Island. In 2021 he worked as a first mate with Sea the Day Charters, where he learned the charter ropes from a number of experienced captains. He worked full-time while attending the University of the Virgin Islands and earned his B.A. in Marketing in 2022. In his free time, he repaired an 18 foot Islander with his father and purchased his own jet skis. After many hours at sea Nicholas decided it was time to turn his passion into a business and in 2025 he earned his captain’s license.
Captain Nicholas is a “Rock Man” who loves to be out on a boat, having a good time. As a natural entertainer, Nicholas will have guests laughing in no time. He is knowledgeable and loves to share V.I. stories that are sure to keep you hooked. Whether it’s cruising through the harbor, exploring hidden gems, or taking in the sunset, Nicholas looks forward to offering his unparalleled skills and hospitality to Ketch & Keep Charters.
